True Story explores the complexity of friendships, manhood, and the vulnerability of relationships. - True Story is a drama with moments of humor that takes place in New York. A young and single African American father, named Hakim, is forced to deal with his past while maintaining his friendship from childhood, and wanting more out of his life. After meeting a beautiful young lady named Nia, Hakim is mesmerized and the characters take us on a journey exploring love, and friendships at their core.
