Goon

Had to keep from turning this one off repeatedly. Somehow I made it to the end, perhaps for no other reason than I had paid for it and had nothing better to do. Obnoxious movie with hack premise and every played out hockey cliche known to man. Many have compared it to Slap Shot and even declared it to be superior. I can't even fathom what they are thinking.

Good funny movie. If you like hockey you will love this movie. The low ratings are stupid because they are based on the price and not the content of the movie. I would much rather pay $10 for a movie at home watch it with a bunch of friends and have beers then go spend $10 to $15 a person to sit in a theater I can not drink at were they screw you for soda and popcorn.

If you want to be super critical, nah you may not enjoy this movie but that's every movie out there. Do you enjoy sports movies that aren't necessarily based on real events? Goon is awesome and the sequel is just as good which usually doesn't happen with a sequel. It has its hokey moments sure, but a wonderful movie. Sean (Stifler) came a long way since his Stifler character. There is 0 Stifler and it is very cool to see him take another kinda role. I love this movie.
