About this movie

From acclaimed writer/director Armando Ianucci (In the Loop, ‘Veep’) and featuring an all-star ensemble cast comes an outrageously funny masterpiece that’s the best British comedy in years. STALIN IS DEAD! And with The Soviet Union’s top job now up for grabs, the men within Stalin’s council enter an ‘interview’ process unlike any other. With the prospect of absolute authority over the nation within grasp, what follows will be devious plotting and farcical backstabbing, where one man will gain supreme power over the USSR. The question is: who?

Awful movie, me and my girlfriend saw this in the cinema and no joke we both fell asleep along with most of the audience who either left out of boredom or couldn't be asked to watch. We were in a group from work about 20 of us and we all just left because it was sooo bland and boring. I don't understand the high reviews it's god awful we even got our money back!

I am a big fan of Iannucci's work but I did not enjoy this...at all. I did not laugh externally, nor did I laugh internally. Nor did I feel moved or interested or engaged or affected. Big, boring boys club aren't as funny as they think they are. Highly do not recommend.

Just the right amount of everything you need to make a great comedy. Jason Isaacs steals every scene he is in. Then again I'm a fan of his, but this film really is a must watch. This film is worth every star.
