Just OK This movie moved along pretty well but didn't take full advantage of all of the scenery and majesty of the area, and the "meaningful" life lessons captured in one-on-one dialogue was a reach too far and missed the mark with us. I think the superior No Country for Old Men was the model for Wind River, and I suggest to look there instead...

Given the description provided I had assumed this would be more of a straight mystery. It starts that way for sure and then just drops it. The acting is good, the main characters are good and the plot would have been so much better in my opinion if they had followed through with the mystery design to the end. But as it is it's alright. No better than average.
Just Visiting
In a world apart, where you either "survive or surrender", the discovery of the body of a young native woman leads to a violent settling of account between justice and rapists. This excellent and powerful film is also a reminder of the unknown fate of so many native women.
