Well kids as a grizzled old Gen-Xer all I have to say is the original The Craft blows this puny effort outta the water. Enjoy the nineties all over again and see an actual movie. I'm not sure what this was, exactly, but it was a thin effort at best with zero character development and zero reason to care about anyone. Nice to see Nancy again though!

I enjoyed the first one. I even enjoyed parts of this one. While I understand and respect the ideology of female empowerment, it was forced in this movie. This movie just joined the long list of social engineering in Hollywood. You do not need to demonize masculinity in order to showcase 4 powerful women. Their power is already independently there. Other than that, the acting was subpar at best. The special effects were good but not, well, special. The storyline lacked depth but entertained.

As a pagan witch myself, this movie is a very poor representation and it's appalling they tried to make it sort of represent the community. According to interviews, they did have a witch on set and they casted real circles, which doesn't make things better because no magick was actually being done. During promotion they were trying to connect to the witch community which is honestly just gross because this movie doesn't portray real witchcraft. They're just capitalizing off of our culture smh
