About this movie

The world's most lethal odd couple - bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) - are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius's even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as...well, you'll have to see.

The worst movie for Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson! I watched only the first 15 minutes of it then stopped it as I found it disgusting because 90% of that 15 minutes was full of F words! Is bad language supposed to be funny now days? I bought it based on my previous experience with part one and that was a big mistake and I truly regret it and wish if there was a way to delete it permanently from my library!

I kind of enjoyed the first movie (Except for Salma Hayek) for its frenemy storyline, humor and action. This one felt forced, needlessly raunchy, and gave Salma Hayek WAY too much screen time. Also, Antonio Banderas was a poor choice because the movie already endured Ryan Reynolds' acting, to also have Pedro Almodóvar's go-to "pretty boy" in an attempt to properly flavor this bland shoot-'em-up, poorly edited film. Even SLJ phoned it in, and I'll watch anything with him.

This movie doesn't have the same feel as the first film. There are slow spots and a lot of the jokes require seeing the first film. My wife thought it was boring but she also hadn't seen the first film so it didn't make a lot of sense to her. I don't think this is a problem with the film, but it's good to know if you're watching it with others who haven't seen the first movie. I felt there were some missed opportunities with the father reveal in the film. I was glad to see that Hayek had a larger role in this film over the first one. If you enjoyed the first film, this is worth watching. If you didn't like the first film, avoid this as it's more of the same.
