This movie doesn't come close to capturing the same magic that the original Mulan had. The story was just very lackluster and not believable. Tying up your hair while being a woman may work in an animation but it certainly does not work in a real life movie. The movie felt very rushed. There was very little to no character development. Nobody knows how Mulan got so good with her combat skills. It just happened. Disney should just stop with the remakes because they're just bad.

Not for the 90s babies ... Kinda cheesy in some parts. It is soooooo different from the actual original. I get the direction they were going but it still fell short. Like as far as strong a woman and action they should have done it more serious instead of disney cookie cutter. Idk it was okay but I was left unsatisfied. This is my least favorite live action of all and the one I was most excited for. ☹️

The only thing okayish about this movie was it's visuals. This movie is a waste of time and is the opposite of empowering. It teaches young girls that you have to be born with special abilities and magic powers to amount to something and to rise above the expectations of society. They also took out almost every good aspect of the original like, friendship, empowerment, Mulan's resourcefulness and intelligence and good characters. BadPacing,No Character development and just a cash grab.
