About this movie

Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Raya and the Last Dragon" travels to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together in harmony long ago. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it's up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she'll learn that it'll take more than a dragon to save the world-it's going to take trust and teamwork as well. "Raya and the Last Dragon" features the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya, a warrior whose wit is as sharp as her blade, and Awkwafina as the magical, mythical, self-deprecating dragon named Sisu. Characters also include a street-savvy 10-year-old entrepreneur named Boun, the formidable giant Tong and a thieving toddler Noi with her band of Ongis.

Fun and colorful. A lack of real villain. So it never really felt dire. But, Fun. Funny how no one is allowed to be white in this XD Don't like the idea that every actually wants the best for the world. Obviously not realistic at all. Just be sure your kids know this is fantasy and not the way the real world works Another note. Amazing that Disney is able to avoid so many copyright laws because of their deep pockets. would have loved an original story. Also, don't get mad about the price. This is 2021. Plenty of free options with ads on the side. lol

It was entertaining but there were some terrible choices made by the director and writers (especially the baby & monkies). It was a bit like Moana but without the depth, the music or the same level of heart. Instead of a "love" theme, it was centered around trust. This was a nice change from the American themes. I'm glad I waited as it wouldn't have been worth buying.

I am so glad they put a movie out that was not totally reliant on music numbers, ha! That being said, it was pretty good. I feel like the way they approached trust was naive, but in a round about way they made their point. I agree with learning to stop fighting over something when you are stronger together. But trust doesn't always work the way they put it. The graphics were awesome, Akwafina is hilarious and I love Daniel Dae Kim.
