Lone Survivor

Had I not read the book "LONE SURVIVOR" and"SERVICE" both by Marcus I would have given 5 stars. EVERYONE MUST READ THE BOOKS! I saw the movie opening day and spent more time explaining to total strangers how it went in the book and filled in the blanks according to the book than it took to watch! ALSO THE FIRST WAR MOVIE TO "UNDER KILL" BAD GUYS. I counted 20ish kills by the seals in the battle and the book said they killed 60 to 80 of around 200 taliban

Very good movie, as far as movies go... A lot of people like to criticize the actions these SEALs took, especially when it comes to the goat herders... We have the luxury of being able to give it some thought and take the time to make the best decision possible... These Soldiers was not afforded such luxuries... God Bless Our Troops...

Good movie but what they did by letting those sheep herders go was suicide as far as I'm concerned. That was a terrible decision they made that ultimately cost them their lives. I rather face prison than face death, but in this case they didn't have a choice. Personally in that type of situation I would have took care of business and took the child prisoner till everybody was safe then let him go. Many times Hollywood tends to twist the facts when it comes to "true stories" so who knows what really happened...
