Was very much looking forward to seeing this film. While I have seen many other Judy films.docudramas, etc., this film falls flat and most of the reason is Renee Zellweger. The story itself covers only a very brief time at the end of her career and life. Renee Zellweger's performance never felt natural, but rather forced. I was much more impressed by Judy Davis' cover of Garland in "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows." I could not watch "Judy" in its entirety and split it over a few days.

Renee Zellweger captured Judy Gatland's mannerisms; however, that's about where it ends for me. How she won the Academy Award for, in my opinion, a very average performance is beyond me. I'd rather listen to Zellweger lip sync to Judy. I found Zellweger's singing an insult to Judy Garland's memory. In addition, I grow weary of movies only focusing on some of the bleaker moments in her life. A very average movie with a very average actress:. An insult to the memory of Judy Garland.

This movie was absolutely unwatchable. I literally got up out of my seat and walked out of the theater. I'm a huge fan of Judy Garland but Renee zellweger RUINED everything about Judy. If you want to watch an actual biography of Garland do yourself a favor and watch Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows. Its BRILLIANT and Judy Davis as Judy Garland is GENIUS ... you'll have a hard time telling where Davis ends and Garland begins
