Be prepared for really extreme gore. The slow burn intro built up a sense of intrigue, the combination of modern dance (which inherently feels unnatural) and horror works really well, some of the characters were perfectly creepy, and the soundtrack is amazing. But the gore was far beyond what we were expecting, so we never found out how it developed beyond that. A shame, because the atmosphere and situation was plenty haunting enough, so the gore just seemed unnecessary.

It's OK. I like the original lot more. Don't get me wrong, this had some amazing ideas that worked! I just for some reason, really like the original. This is still an amazing movie and I could totally say its worth seeing. But check out the original. I like it way more. It's more dreamlike than this movie was. The whole point of the original movie was to feel like you're in a nightmare. The new movie didn't really do that.

Coming from a fan of the original, this is an interesting take on the lore with some modern social issues weaved in. This film is about 40 minutes longer than the original and I though it could have been a tighter, more linear story.
