Curb Your Enthusiasm's Jeff Garlin wrote, directed and stars in this indie comedy from IFC Films about an overweight, underappreciated Chicago actor in search of his soul mate. James (Jeff Garlin) is a 39-year-old actor who still lives with his mother and only hopes for some simple things in life: for someone to love him, to land a career-defining part, and to lose weight. Unfortunately, he’s 0 for 3. His girlfriend dumps him, he loses the title role in a remake of Paddy Chayefsky's Marty to teen idol Aaron Carter, and he sneaks out of an obsessive-overeaters meeting only to wind up at an ice cream parlor. There, he meets Beth (Sarah Silverman) who quickly wins his heart by offering him free ice cream. But will this cause James more problems than it solves? Or has he finally found someone to eat cheese with?
