George Raft and Pat O'Brien star as partners who own a bail bond company--an enterprise that can be very lucrative, but which is A Dangerous Profession. But when former policeman Vince Kane (Raft) falls in love with the widow of one of his clients, his interest becomes much more than professional--and the risk for both he and his partner, Joe Farley (O'Brien), spirals into a deadly game of blackmail and murder.
