House of Lies, The Complete Series

Marty and The Pod travel to New York to consult for MetroCapital, a mega-bank that is looking for a plan to unscrupulously justify taking their year-end bonuses as the financial world around them burns. Unfortunately, Marty makes an enemy out of MetroCapital’s number two guy, Greg Norbert. Back at home, Marty gets some unwanted advice on how to raise his son, Roscoe, from Marty’s live-in father.

Marty and The Pod are sent to a very powerful sports franchise in Phoenix to clean up a mess caused by the owners’ impending divorce. Once there, Jeannie takes a dinner meeting with Derek, an old flame. On the home front, Marty continues his personal war with Principal Gita over Roscoe’s cross-dressing.

Marty arrives at the Galweather offices to find Greg Norbert there announcing the possible acquisition of Galweather by MetroCapital. The Pod then flies to Indiana to consult for a beverage company, where Marty applies his management skills to turn a loss into a win.

With Jeremiah out of town, Marty is forced to bring his son Roscoe to his next job in San Francisco. Hoping to get some quality time with his dad, Roscoe ends up spending it all with The Pod.

On a consulting gig in Utah, Jeannie is put in charge when it becomes clear that the racist CEO of a no-frills motel chain won’t take Marty seriously. Meantime, Clyde tries to make inroads with a nice Mormon virgin. On the home front, Monica decides to spend some quality time with Roscoe after she gets spurned by a married man she’s been seeing.

Marty goes to war with his son’s school when Roscoe is accused of sexual harassment for trying to kiss a boy. His personal life is further complicated when April, a stripper he met in New York, reappears.

When The Pod goes to Washington, DC to consult for a pharmaceutical company, Marty faces a challenge from April to stay monogamous on the road. Back at home, Jeremiah reveals something serious to April, asking for her confidence until he can tell Marty himself.

Marty and The Pod take part in the annual Galweather-Stearn recruiting event where the best and brightest from ivy-league business schools are wined and dined.

The consultants get consulted when Marty and The Pod are put through the ringer by their arch-rival firm, Kinsley-Johnson, which is all part of the due diligence MetroCapital is performing for the upcoming merger. Meanwhile, Jeannie does her best to keep Wes and the marriage at bay, but fails to keep it a secret from Marty.

Jeannie embarks on a gig to establish her own legend in the world of consultants when she leads The Pod to her hometown to resurrect an ailing church. Meanwhile, Monica’s powers of manipulation reach new heights, threatening Marty’s relationship with April.

Marty and “The Rainmaker” work together to put the kibosh on their firm’s impending acquisition by MetroCapital.

With the help of Greg Norbert, Marty and The Pod fight to pull off an 11th-hour reprieve and stop the MetroCapital acquisition from happening. Meanwhile, Jeannie makes a decision about marrying Wes while Marty’s son Roscoe makes a life-altering decision of his own.

Marty and the Pod adjust to the “new” Galweather Stearn in the aftermath of a sexual harassment scandal. Interim CEO, Julianne Hofschraeger, needs Marty to live up to his reputation of being a fearless closer. This poses a challenge when Marty consults with Mr. Pincus, a valued client no one in the company knows. Jeannie relives haunting memories from a drunken night out with Marty when she returns to work from a paid leave of absence. Meanwhile at home, Marty struggles to patch things up with Roscoe since he moved out to live with his mother, Monica.

Marty and the Pod head to Las Vegas to help an aging casino regain its luster. They are joined by Tamara, Galweather Stearn’s newest partner-level consultant and rival of Marty’s from business school. Clyde is seduced by the VIP bottle-service Las Vegas nightlife. His ties to club owners, the Dushkin Twins, will prove to be valuable to Marty. Jeannie finds a passive-aggressive foe in Galweather Stearn’s interim CEO, Julianne.

Marty and Clyde attempt to woo the business of new Las Vegas casino king, Michael Carlson, a maverick self-made millionaire who notoriously hates consultants. Meanwhile, Jeannie tries to assess how big a threat Tamara is by suggesting the two of them enjoy a spa day together. Monica makes an unlikely connection with her personal vegan chef, Tessa.

When superstar Matt Damon calls on Galweather Stearn to find him a charity to enhance his image, Marty discovers he may have to go further than he’s willing to keep the celebrity’s business. As a favor to Marty, Jeannie spends time with Roscoe and his friend, Dylan, who competes with Roscoe for Jeannie’s attention. Meanwhile, Tessa presses Monica for answers about where they stand with each other.

Marty gets a surprise visit from his militantly pro-social younger brother, Malcolm, whose reasons for resurfacing after three years seem dubious. On assignment with an online dating company, Doug advises Jeannie to abandon her reservations about romance in the digital age by going out with a guy the website says is a perfect match for her. Doug does the same and makes a love connection. Marty finds a kindred spirit in political consultant, Brynn, while on an engagement with a banking CEO eyeing a turn as Illinois governor.

Marty questions his commitment to Galweather Stearn when events at an executive retreat come into conflict with his plans to do something important for Roscoe. Doug gains a new perspective on his fellow Pod members after introducing them to his new girlfriend, Sarah. Marty is tempted to explore things with Tamara when she makes a startling admission about her personal life.

Marty faces a moral dilemma when he discovers evidence of a banking client’s role in a cover-up scheme. Jeannie attempts damage control with the Pod when an ex-boyfriend posts something shocking on the web.

Jeannie meets an unlikely suitor, Nate, when consulting with an adult toy company. While on the engagement, Doug is struck with inspiration for a wild gift idea for his new girlfriend. At home, Marty confronts issues of love, race and family in the aftermath of his traumatic encounter. Malcolm begins to drive a wedge between Marty and their father, Jeremiah.

Doug and Clyde are summoned to testify in a legal deposition for their role in a wrongful death suit filed against a big telecommunications company. Casino king Michael Carlson slows attempts by Marty to close a deal. “Earth-mother” Monica begins to unravel in the wake of Roscoe moving out.

Marty covertly makes strides with his future in mind. However, his most trusted colleague, Jeannie, questions her own future when presented with a great career opportunity. Doug must overcome his fear of navigating social settings when a chance to “rainmake” some of his own business falls into his lap. Meanwhile, at home, tensions come to a head with Marty and his brother, Malcolm.

Marty is pushed to the brink when trying to finalize a business deal with erratic and temperamental Las Vegas casino magnate, Michael Carlson. Clyde sees his star meter rising when his club owner pals, the Dushkin twins, turn to him to extend their brand beyond the Las Vegas nightlife. Marty learns privileged information about Tamara.

Doug pops the question to his girlfriend, Sarah, who plans a shotgun wedding in Las Vegas on the eve of the Pod closing a major business deal there. However, Marty’s backhanded dealings lead to increased tension and unintended consequences for each member of the Pod.

Marty and his new pod pursue an organic grocery store CEO. Jeannie endures Doug's reminiscing about the "old team," while Clyde struggles in his new position working for Monica.

Marty has a confusing meeting with Roscoe's new crush, Lex. Jeannie makes a power move at Galweather to win an account, and Clyde witnesses Monica push a junior analyst a bit too far.

Marty and Jeannie put their plan into action to pit their rival clients against one another. Changes at Galweather promise trouble for Jeannie. Clyde is forced to work from Monica's home.

Marty deals with his newest clients, hip-hop clothing moguls Dre Collins and Lukas Frye, who have divergent attitudes and plans for their company, DollaHyde. Jeannie defines her new role. Clyde turns to Marty for help.

Jeannie reaches out to an old friend for help, causing an issue between her and Marty about their future with DollaHyde. Clyde creates friction between Monica and her client, Vincent; and Doug makes a play for Caitlin.

Emotions run high as Marty and Jeannie deal with the aftermath of a tragic event. Meanwhile, Doug attempt to reconcile with Sarah, and Marissa makes a business decision that affects her relationship with Clyde.

Kaan & Associates receives a serious legal blow. Jeannie attempts to rectify the situation; fearful she is the one responsible for it. Roscoe finds an constructive outlet to help work through his relationship issues.

Revelations of what has occurred since last season begin to explain the ‘new normal’ at K&A. Marty lays down the law to a pregnant Jeannie on her future with the company, and the Pod leaves one client in pursuit of a much bigger payday.

Marty cunningly proves his business savvy when he meets electric car mogul, Ellis Hightower. In desperate pursuit of a new client, Jeannie orchestrates a chance encounter that appears to go terribly awry. Marty accuses Jeannie of being a dishonest person, prompting her to reveal a difficult truth.

Marty and Jeannie pitch opposing strategies to a Seattle-based skin care company. Doug, fed up with Sarah’s antics, passive-aggressively puts his foot down. Clyde begins discussing a business idea with an unlikely partner.

When the Gage presentation falls apart, Marty comes up with a last-ditch plan that includes orchestrating a move that a volatile Ellis doesn’t want. Jeannie has a less-than-encouraging meeting with a headhunter regarding her prospects in the job market. Doug petitions to join Clyde and Kelsey’s new business venture.

Marty and Jeannie entice Denna with a retaliatory business move against Ellis. Things get complicated between Doug and Kelsey. Clyde spends time with his father and is disturbed to see how similar they may be.

Marty butts heads with a turnaround artist sent by Denna to grow K&A’s business. Jeannie has mixed feelings about a dinner invite to the Kaan home. Clyde’s father pushes him to the breaking point.

Marty pitches the CEO of a fast food chain, bringing him into conflict with Denna. Roscoe’s business is exposed, hurting his status and future at school. Doug and Clyde have different reactions to being involved with the same woman.

Season 5 begins with Marty back on top – business is booming, and life is good. Marty and Jeannie navigate co-parenting and interacting with each other’s new relationships. Doug and Clyde vie for position. A familiar face from the past approaches Marty with an intriguing offer.

Jeannie’s boyfriend drops a bomb that could devastate her. Marty goes after potential new business at Doug’s Dungeons & Dragons game. Clyde uncovers an issue that affects Jeannie.

After Jeannie’s return to K&A, Marty and the Pod consult a company trying a new, unconventional management style. Doug wonders if there is a possibility of romance with K&A’s newest client, and Clyde has an ill-timed breakup.

While competing with Monica for new business, Marty learns she’s been offered a lucrative deal. Jeannie gets romantic with the client, despite his questionable past. Clyde is tapped to join a new venture, and Doug gets obsessive over the opportunity to give a Ted Talk.

Marty begrudgingly reunites with a couple of his most objectionable past clients in an attempt to expand the business of a major cruise line. Clyde gets in the way of Doug fulfilling his high-seas fantasy, and Jeannie gets emotional regarding her baby.

Marty's ingress into the black hair market on behalf of a client hits a surprising snag. Clyde’s great hope for mayor has eyes for Jeannie. Roscoe lands his first modeling gig.

Marty strives to convince a couple of big-time, idealist marijuana growers to embrace a new idea. Doug finally delivers his much-anticipated Ted Talk.

Marty and the Pod bond with members of a boy band in an attempt to get them to re-sign with their record label. Jeannie gets fed up with being a politician’s girlfriend. Doug deals with his post-Ted Talk “fame,” and the repercussions it has on his relationship.

Marty attempts to get K&A back into consideration for a buyout. Jeannie has a difficult time spending a day outside the office. Computer network issues lead to a discovery.

The Pod heads to Havana, Cuba. There, they are challenged to reevaluate their personal and professional futures.
