George Lopez, The Complete Series

When well-liked George becomes the first guy to be promoted from the assembly line to plant manager at a Los Angeles airplane parts factory, his life becomes a little more complicated. His pal Ernie and former compadres on the plant floor tease him about joining management. George's first test in the new position is to terminate one employee. He must choose either his acerbic line-inspector mother, Benny, or Ernie. George's hardworking and patient wife, Angie, copes with Benny's constant wisecracks and cares for the couple's kids, precocious 9-year-old Max and 13-year-old Carmen, who is dealing with the traumas of being a teenager.

George worries about Carmen when she brings a boy, Duncan (JONATHAN JONES), home for the first time. He persuades Max to spy on them, but despite finding no impropriety, George threatens Duncan, embarrassing Carmen. Later, George replies to instant messages on Carmen's computer, pretending to be her. Although this infuriates both Carmen and Angie when they find out, George then goes to a party and further humiliates Carmen with his overprotectiveness. Finally, Carmen sadly ends the relationship with Duncan, not because of her father, but because Duncan tried to pressure her into having sex too soon. Carmen forgives George, who realizes that she is more responsible than he thought.

Angie plans a long-overdue surprise birthday party for George, despite his dislike for such celebrations. Meanwhile, when an accident-prone worker, Amy (SANDRA BULLOCK - "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," "Speed"), returns to the factory after a medical leave of absence, her clumsiness threatens George's coveted safety record.

When a factory employee, Jim (GREGG DANIEL), is arrested because of a bar fight, George and Benny audition people to replace him in their carpool. Meanwhile, Max wants to walk to school alone for the first time, prompting overprotective George to test his son's savvy. Max proves that he is smart, but George gets into trouble with the police.

After Max idolizes Angie's father, George concocts a false story about how wonderful his own father (ESAI MORALES) was. The reality is that George never knew his father--Benny always told him the man had died. But when George meets his estranged aunt in the supermarket, he learns that his father left the family shortly after George was born and is still alive somewhere. Benny reluctantly admits the truth but assures George that his father was an unfeeling man. However, George discovers an old photograph of his father cradling him gently and becomes determined to find him. Meanwhile, Angie pities a stray dog and brings him home. But she isn't prepared for all the care the sick animal requires.

George questions his company loyalty. After his bosses ask him to help on the assembly line, which is humiliating because it is the duty he performed before his promotion to manager, he receives a job offer from a competitor. Meanwhile, Carmen has to choose whether she wants to keep her best friend or be part of the popular crowd.

When Max performs poorly in school, one of his teachers suspects that he has a learning disability. Angie wants to place Max in special classes, but George objects because he is afraid that the other children will mock Max. But when George ponders his own upbringing, he comes to a different realization. Meanwhile, Ernie moves in with the Lopez family after arguing with his mother.

George prepares the house for Halloween, his favorite holiday, while dealing with the stress of hiring an assembly line worker whose life is a disaster. Meanwhile, Angie helps Carmen get accepted on the cheerleading squad in an effort to help her become more popular--but Carmen's not the kind of girl Angie was in high school.

When Max is asked to not play in an upcoming Little League game because he can't hit the ball, George works tirelessly on improving his son's skills. But it takes a special visit from some of baseball's premier players (ROD CAREW, STEVE GARVEY, JOE MORGAN and JIM PALMER as themselves) to teach George that there's more to playing well than he thinks.

George must help sell chocolate bars to fund Max's school trip to Florida's Cape Canaveral--but the effort doesn't quite go according to plan. Also, George and Angie find out that accident-prone factory worker Amy Kirkland ("George Lopez" executive producer SANDRA BULLOCK ["Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," "Speed"] in a recurring guest-starring role) is a parent as well. Meanwhile, Carmen gives her grandmother, Benny, a fashion makeover when Benny becomes enamored with a fellow employee.

The Lopezes host a wedding in their backyard. For the first time in their 16-year marriage, George asks a delighted Angie to slow dance with him, which she has always wanted to do. But he gets more than he expected when she drunkenly invents some new dance moves as the party guests look on.

With Carmen physically maturing, George and Angie hesitantly teach their astute daughter about boys and sex. But when Carmen secretly begins dating her classmate, her parents realize that more drastic measures are necessary.

After learning that his mother, Benny, had sex with a co-worker 35 years ago, George believes he has finally found his father. He meets the man, Lalo (CHEECH MARIN - "Spy Kids")--whose picture bears a striking resemblance to George--and invites him for Thanksgiving dinner. However, George's familial bond is tested when he discovers the truth.

When Angie realizes that she has free time after helping her family with everyday chores, she volunteers with a variety of charities. Feeling fulfilled, she soon finds herself joining more organizations than she can cope with, and George and the family must help her understand that they need and appreciate her too.

When Angie's parents, Vic (EMILIANO DÍEZ) and Emilina (SONIA BRAGA - "American Family," "Kiss of the Spider Woman"), visit for Christmas, George thinks they still believe that he is not good enough for their daughter. But he shows he can take care of his family without their help and battles with Vic for the best Christmas ever.

George's mother, Benny, has always seemed ungrateful, no matter what George does for her. So when Benny's shower drain becomes clogged, he refuses to fix it. However, when Benny disrupts George's bathroom schedule by using the other shower, he is forced to take action. With help from Ernie and Max, George attempts to fix and remodel Benny's decrepit bathroom--and vainly hopes for a simple "thank you" from his mother.

The Lopez family finds out that Benny's estranged brother, Uncle Joe (ISMAEL (EAST) CARLO), will die soon. George and Angie convince Benny to reconcile with Uncle Joe--but Benny's more interested in getting Joe's Super Bowl tickets. Meanwhile, since Benny never taught George how to cope with death when he was younger, he has difficulty attending the funeral.

After George gives Angie a disappointing gift for Valentine's Day, she recalls their high school days in the 1980s, when George painted a great mural of her for the holiday. However, when Angie takes the entire family to look at the mural--and finds out it will soon be removed--the truth of the mural's origins is revealed.

After Carmen ends her relationship with her classmate, Adam (JORDAN MASTERSON), he tries to ruin her reputation at school. George and Angie want to repair the damage, but the school counselor, Tommy (STEVEN R. SCHIRRIPA - "The Sopranos"), who knew George when they were kids, refuses to right the wrong--prompting Carmen to take action in her own defense.

When Carmen is accepted to a private school, George and Angie decide to take a bank loan to pay for the tuition. They receive a bad credit report that reveals more on the history of George's father, and George learns he has a half-brother--also named George (LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS - "Courage Under Fire").

Carmen's first day at her new school causes trouble in the family. When George overreacts with concern for Carmen's safety, it appears that he doesn't trust her. Meanwhile, Max becomes enamored with a much older woman--Carmen's new high school friend.

As a surprise for Angie's birthday, George arranges for her father, Vic (recurring guest star EMILIANO DÍEZ), and sister, Gloria (JACQUELINE OBRADORS - "NYPD Blue"), to visit for the celebration. Upset about her upcoming divorce and jealous of her sister's marriage to a good man, Gloria makes an inappropriate advance towards George--which Max witnesses.

The airplane parts factory where George works is under consideration by the federal government for more business. Afraid that a certain employee's ethnic background will hinder the company's chances of getting the contract, George's boss orders him to demote the worker. George must decide whether or not to jeopardize his career by being ethical.

When Benny learns that George's father, who left her years ago to care for George alone, is now wealthy, she decides that she deserves to get rich herself. After getting drunk on her lunch hour, she falls down on work premises, pretends to be hurt and hires a lawyer to sue the company. George begs his mother not to be dishonest. Meanwhile, Benny continues her rivalry with co-worker Gina (recurring guest star ELMARIE WENDEL).

After giving a young ex-gang member, Marisol (recurring guest star TONANTZIN ESPARZA), a job at the factory and a chance for a new life, George is shocked when Angie takes further pity on Marisol and allows her to live in the Lopez home instead of with her abusive boyfriend. But after impressionable Carmen becomes intrigued with Marisol's lifestyle, even Angie must admit that she may have made a mistake. Meanwhile, Max joins a scouting troop and develops some disturbing new habits.

George must hide his concern--and disapproval--when Ernie is promoted to team leader at work. Meanwhile, a cosmetics saleswoman, Stephanie (HILARY DUFF - "Lizzie McGuire"), who is training Angie, encourages her to lie to potential clients.

When George and Angie get into major financial trouble, Benny secretly asks Lydia (guest star CRISTINA - host of the Spanish-language talk show "El Show de Cristina"), the second wife of George's estranged father, for help. Meanwhile, George does his best to obtain extra money--leading him to encounter some disreputable characters.

After George's estranged father gives him a huge loan to save the family from financial ruin, George vows to visit him in Phoenix. But George's difficult personal journey becomes a family vacation when Angie insists on joining him with Benny and Max. Along the way, George reminisces about his upbringing. Meanwhile, Ernie might finally have some success with women. The band WAR performs.

George Lopez's (series star GEORGE LOPEZ) life hasn't become any easier since he became the first assembly line worker to be promoted to plant manager at a Los Angeles airplane parts factory. Although his affable friend Ernie (series star VALENTE RODRIGUEZ) and the other workers on the floor still tease him, George's biggest challenge remains managing his tough and acerbic but loving mother, Benny (series star BELITA MORENO), while maintaining a civil relationship with her both at work and at home. Fortunately, George's devoted wife, Angie (series star CONSTANCE MARIE), possesses the patience of a saint and copes surprisingly well with Benny's insensitive wisecracks and George's freewheeling approach to parenthood. George and Angie's 10-year-old son, Max (series star LUIS ARMAND GARCIA), is a sports-loving, constantly curious ball of energy. In jail for striking his father, Manny (recurring guest star WILLIAM MARQUEZ), George is shocked when Manny arrives. Manny explains that this is the only way he could get George to listen to him apologize for abandoning the family when George was a youngster. Manny gets George released, but George is still reluctant to forgive him for the past. Meanwhile, George's boss informs him that a security camera captured him stealing the President's speech after an appearance at the plant. George reluctantly returns the document. When George invites Manny to dinner at home, Benny is furious to see her ex-husband. She defiantly announces that she is dating much younger factory worker Randy (recurring guest star NICK OFFERMAN), further upsetting George. Later, she calms George's nerves, reminding him that she sacrificed her love life in order to raise him. George begins to reconcile with his father.

Angie finds out that her parents are getting divorced. Meanwhile, George becomes nervous and insecure about his marriage when Angie's income as a cosmetics saleswoman increases and her social life improves.

Benny receives an unwelcome gift after having sex with her younger boyfriend, Randy (recurring guest star NICK OFFERMAN). When George accompanies Benny to the gynecologist, he discovers that she secretly gave birth to a girl after he was born and gave her up for adoption. Upon finding his grown-up sister, Linda Lorenzo (LISA GUERRERO - "NFL Monday Night Football," "The Best Damn Sports Show Period"), however, George gets another surprise. Meanwhile, Angie hopes that her parents will reconcile.

Carmen begins dating Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), the most popular boy in school, but when he refuses to be seen in public with Carmen, George and Angie intervene. Although they approve of Jason, they urge Carmen to have more self-respect. Meanwhile, Angie's father, Vic (recurring guest star EMILIANO DIEZ), continues to live in the Lopez home--and to irritate George.

When Jack (recurring guest star JACK BLESSING) and Mel (recurring guest star MARK TYMCHYSHYN) Powers, the brothers who own the factory where George works, acquire a lucrative new defense contract, everyone celebrates. Unfortunately, George triggers an argument between the brothers and must soon choose sides. After the owners decide not to split the company, a tragedy involving their airplane parts threatens the future of the company. Meanwhile, George and Angie teach Carmen about values when she tries to fit in with her rich friends at private school.

After the crash of an airplane built from parts made at George's factory, the nervous employees blame one another. An inspector interviews them and then closes the plant temporarily until it is determined what happened. Desperate, George's boss asks him to prevent his workers from quitting. To earn money for the displaced staffers, the Lopez family turns their home into a haunted house on Halloween. Meanwhile, Benny suffers a delayed reaction to the accident.

With his job in jeopardy, George tries to cancel Carmen's expensive quinceañera (15th birthday party). But since Angie is successful with her cosmetics business, she gets to make the financial decisions in the family now--to George's chagrin. Meanwhile, Carmen agonizes over how to tell her boyfriend, Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), that she loves him without scaring him away.

When Angie's uncle needs help defecting from Cuba by raft, George, Ernie and Angie's father, Vic (recurring guest star EMILIANO DIEZ), head out to sea--and have a confrontation with the U.S. Coast Guard. Meanwhile, Max hosts an unsanctioned birthday party for himself.

When George invites his extended family, including his estranged father, Manny (recurring guest star WILLIAM MARQUEZ); his stepmother, Lydia (recurring guest star CRISTINA SARALEGUI - host of the Spanish-language talk show "El Show de Cristina"); and his stepbrother, also named George (recurring guest star LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS - "Courage Under Fire") to Thanksgiving dinner, he discovers that his father needs a new kidney. Meanwhile, Benny returns to work at the factory--with major reservations.

George is preparing to donate one of his kidneys to his ailing father. At the same time, he gets rid of some of Angie's cherished mementos. When George finds out that his dad has died, he learns that the things one leaves behind can be important--albeit painful--reminders of their life.

After overhearing his parents planning to buy him the presents that he asked Santa Claus for, Max doubts the existence of Santa. George stages an elaborate scheme to persuade Max that Santa is real, but after a bully beats Max up at school for believing in Santa, George must take drastic action. Meanwhile, Carmen's boyfriend finds Carmen's public displays of affection embarrassing--and George definitely agrees with him.

When Max begins misbehaving at school because of his learning disability--and disrespecting his elders at home--Benny disciplines him, provoking rage from George and Angie. But even George begins to lose faith in his rebellious young son after Max refuses to study more diligently.

After Max's mischievous friend Ricky (recurring guest star J.B. GAYNOR) causes more trouble in the Lopez home, George bans him from the house. But Angie persuades George to allow Ricky to live there temporarily because Ricky's parents are having marital trouble. Ricky continues to be a bad influence on Max, however, forcing George to confront Ricky's mother--and George finds out why Ricky has so many behavioral problems. Meanwhile, Ernie enjoys coaching kids' soccer until he learns how involved in the game the parents get.

When Mr. Needles, the family dog, is diagnosed with a tumor, George informs Max that the veterinarian has recommended that Mr. Needles be euthanized the next day. Max promises God that he will be nice to Carmen for a month if He saves Mr. Needles' life, and he forces his skeptical father to make a deal with God as well. Miraculously, Mr. Needles recovers--but George finds that keeping his bargain with God will be much harder than Max doing so.

When Benny's much younger boyfriend, Randy (recurring guest star NICK OFFERMAN), offers her the key to his apartment, commitment-wary Benny flees. Although he is repulsed by the relationship, George tries to explain his acerbic mother to Randy--but Benny ends up furious at George for meddling. Meanwhile, Ernie tries to impress women by pretending to be an insurance adjuster, but George refuses to help in the charade.

After Angie goes away on a business trip and George realizes how unruly his kids are, he sends Carmen and Max to Benny's house for the weekend to teach them a lesson about tough love. When Angie comes home early and finds George relaxing in the backyard, she berates him for making a family decision without her input. But George finds out that Angie has been doing some single-handed parenting of her own.

When George and Angie hire a beautiful tutor, Ashley (PARIS HILTON - "The Simple Life"), for Max, he becomes too distracted to learn. Carmen's boyfriend, Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), volunteers to tutor Max, but when Carmen and Jason break up, teenage angst rules the house.

When George and Angie work at the dunk tank for a school fund-raiser, a student's prank puts Angie in a very embarrassing position. Meanwhile, George becomes fiercely competitive when New York Yankee KENNY LOFTON (himself) helps raise money for handicapped children.

Without his mom's knowledge, Max takes up boxing at a local ring owned by the daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, LAILA ALI (herself), in order to relieve stress and insomnia. George and Benny try their best to keep Max's new pastime a secret from Angie, but that becomes more difficult when Max gets a black eye.

George invites Angie's newly divorced dad, Vic (recurring guest star EMILIANO DIEZ), to join a nickel-and-dime poker match. But when George wins fifty dollars on one hand, and Vic refuses to pay him, a simple game threatens to split apart the family.

After receiving an award for excellence in business management, George tries to gain approval from his mom by dancing at the congratulatory party--but ends up humiliating himself in front of his entire staff. Meanwhile, Carmen tries to protect the baked goods she has prepared for the Great American Bake Sale from Max, but she neglects to protect them from George.

Carmen is excited about going to the prom with her boyfriend, Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), and wants to get her license and drive herself for the first time. Despite the fact that Carmen has a learner's permit, George thinks she's too young to drive and proves to be an impatient teacher. But after Carmen has relationship problems with Jason and drives while angry, George finally explains why he's worried about her.

Max is excited about the Lopez family's trip to Disneyland, but George refuses to go because it reminds him of his deprived childhood. However, he becomes overwhelmed with guilt that he is not sharing the fun with his son. After convincing Benny to drive him to the amusement park, George fails to find his family. But he does get to experience a day at "the happiest place on earth" for the first time in his life--alone with his mom.

As wedding plans progress for Benny and Randy (recurring guest star NICK OFFERMAN), clumsy factory worker Amy (recurring guest star/executive producer SANDRA BULLOCK - "Two Weeks Notice"), returns from 6 months in the hospital and tries to win Randy back.

Still furious about the breakup with her boyfriend, Benny smashes the hood of her boss' car with a golf club. Later, when the factory is vandalized, Benny gets blamed for that too--but it's a crime she didn't commit.

Carmen's friend Noah (recurring guest star JOHNNY PACAR) goes to extremes to help Carmen keep her relationship with Zack (recurring guest star TREVOR WRIGHT) a secret from her parents. But when George and Angie discover the truth, they become enraged.

George and Angie confront Carmen regarding her relationship with Zack (recurring guest star TREVOR WRIGHT). When George speaks to Zack, the boy's true intentions toward Carmen become clear--infuriating George. To protect their daughter from this cad, George and Carmen forbid her to see Zack. But Carmen takes a drastic measure to remain with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Randy (recurring guest star NICK OFFERMAN) returns to work and tries to reunite with Benny, but she rejects him. Later, at George's house, Randy brings some very special musical guests, THE COMMODORES (themselves), to perform one of their hits, hoping to win Benny back.

The Lopez family is very worried about Carmen, who has run away from home after an argument with her father. George and Vic travel to the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco to look for her.

When Carmen rebels against the house rules and remodels her bedroom without her parents' consent, George grants her request for independence and charges her for living expenses.

When George forgets his wedding anniversary, he scrambles to get enough money for a nice ring. A few failed schemes later, he promises Angie something even better: to renew their wedding vows.

Carmen is not invited back to private school for the new semester, so Angie decides to homeschool her. But when the mother-daughter relationship becomes strained, George suggests a much better career option for his wife.

As Halloween approaches, George feels guilty about his failure to buy life insurance. He becomes obsessed with death, resulting in nightmares that hearken back to his childhood television fixations. In fantasy sequences, George envisions his family members as characters from "The Munsters," "The Jetsons" and "Leave It to Beaver."

In order to make a few friends, Max spends time with a gang of skateboarders but then gets in trouble with the law. Meanwhile, admiring the various colored bracelets that Carmen wears, Angie copies the look without realizing what the colors mean.

When George gets a job opportunity in a small Colorado town, he and Angie consider moving there to provide a better life for the kids.

Carmen and Max befriend some local kids and manage to get into more trouble while visiting a small Colorado town than when they're living in L.A. George and Angie realize that Los Angeles is the place for them.

When Powers Aviation merges with another company, a young upstart, Vanessa (KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY - "According to Jim," "Father of the Bride" movies), is brought in to co-manage--forcing George to share his territory with someone new.

George accuses his mother of being a Scrooge in this Christmas-themed episode--but she might just prove him wrong when mother and son compromise to help make Max's dream of meeting his idol, BMX bike racing champion DAVE MIRRA (himself), a reality.

When Carmen wants to begin using birth control, George and Angie contemplate making a deal with her in order to keep her from taking the next step with her boyfriend, Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER).

When Ernie considers marrying a troubled woman, Tammy (GIGI RICE), George risks their friendship to keep him from making the biggest mistake of his life.

When Max complains about the braces on his teeth, George takes him to the dentist, Dr. Holland (MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN - "The Green Mile," "Racing Stripes"), who is a provider on the company medical insurance plan. Disappointed by Dr. Holland's prognosis, George tries to get the dentist removed from the plan--but he's going to have to convince a third partner in the business, Lou Powers (PAUL GLEASON - "The Breakfast Club," "Die Hard"). Series star GEORGE LOPEZ wrote the episode.

In a plea to get Max additional help in school, George confesses to his long-lost sister, Superintendent of Schools Linda Lorenzo (recurring guest star EVA LaRUE - "All My Children"), that she was given up for adoption at birth, and worse, Benny is her real mother.

When a major earthquake shakes Los Angeles, George's repressed childhood fears resurface. Despite a positive assessment of the house from a contractor, George refuses to go back in, and he and Carmen set up a tent in the backyard.

Benny demands cash for a box of George's childhood memorabilia. George recalls some painful moments and truths from his boyhood.

George hatches a plan to make Angie's most romantic fantasy a reality: a dream wedding. A host of wedding singers auditions for George, including film director ROBERT RODRIGUEZ (himself) and WILLIAM HUNG (himself) from "American Idol."

George allows Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), Carmen's boyfriend, to temporarily move into the Lopez residence, enabling the teen to finish the baseball season after his parents move away.

George seems to be favoring Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER) over Carmen because he lacks faith in his daughter's potential. Carmen enters a poetry contest with a feminist writer, Kenzie (HILARY DUFF "Lizzie McGuire," "A Cinderella Story"), who challenges George to see his daughter's real abilities.

When Angie meets a former boyfriend--who's now a news anchor--for lunch, George becomes concerned she might be having an affair.

In exchange for George granting permission to his father-in-law and his best friend who wish to date his long lost sister, Linda Lorenzo (recurring guest star EVA LaRUE), George considers taking bribes from the two men.

When the constant distractions of her family disrupt Angie's attempts to conduct her wedding planning business in the living room, she demands that George finish the garage office he started a long time ago. Since he has no idea how to do it himself, George hires two shady guys he knows, Victor (RICARDO ANTONIO CHAVIRA - "Desperate Housewives") and Bobby (DANNY TREJO - "Once Upon a Time in Mexico"), who quickly construct the office in exchange for 10 cases of beer. Angie is overjoyed--until an Inspector (JIM BELUSHI - "According to Jim," "Saturday Night Live") declares it a deathtrap. To prove that he has faith in Angie's enterprise, George arranges a two-year lease in a professional office space for her. Meanwhile, Carmen's campaign for student council treasurer against an unworthy opponent, Efren (recurring guest star EFREN RAMIREZ - "Napoleon Dynamite"), involves posting sexy pictures of Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER).

When George and Angie find out that Carmen and her boyfriend, Jason (recurring guest star BRYAN FISHER), have become intimate now that the teens live in the same house, they think about asking Jason to move out. But when they discover that Jason has been using steroids provided by the boy's own father, Blaine (STACY KEACH - "American History X," "Titus," "Mike Hammer"), their concern for Jason's health causes them to reconsider.

George acts as Jason's sports agent when NFL quarterbacks DAUNTE CULPEPPER and DONOVAN McNABB (themselves) visit the Lopez house to draft Jason for their alma maters. And a minor league baseball recruiter also approaches Jason to sign a contract. Meanwhile, Carmen and Los Lobos guitarist CESAR ROSAS (himself) liven up George's birthday bash.

When Benny's house burns down along with her living savings due to a lit cigarette near her flammable drapes, she expects George and Angie to take her into their home which George is against at first, but in the end takes her in. Carmen, after it's discovered her supposed pregnancy was a lie, is determined to marry her boyfriend Jason and have a baby with him, much to George and Angie's dismay. The next morning, Jason and his belongings are gone because he did not want to have a baby, and Carmen pressured sex all the time.

George gets Benny an advance on her paychecks to look for apartments, but Benny foolishly gambles the money away and moves into her car, which burns down as well. Carmen is still in denial and is still determined to marry her boyfriend even though he is gone. Because of Benny's bad luck at gambling, George lets her live in his house.

Pretending he's the mayor of Los Angeles, George bullies a menacing biker (DUANE "DOG" CHAPMAN - "Dog the Bounty Hunter") who won't release a stray dog that George's depressed mom, Benny, has grown to love. But the plan backfires when the real L.A. mayor, ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA (himself), visits the Lopez family.

Rather than give in to Benny's incessant pleas to buy her a new car, George and Angie agree to drive her around town just to get her out of the house. When George picks up Benny and her friends after a wild night on the town, her insensitive wisecracks and his temper get him into trouble.

As Halloween approaches, George and Angie play practical jokes that are even funnier and scarier than ever before. But when Benny's abusive comments and behavior grow worse, George finds it impossible to laugh things off and threatens to make some big changes.

George is living with Ernie and Ernie's parents because he's still furious with Benny and refuses to return home until his mother leaves. But when he realizes how difficult it is for Ernie to live with his parents, George convinces him to get his own place. George even agrees to be Ernie's roommate--until a problem with Max prompts George to finally move back to his home.

After witnessing a traumatic incident at school, Max experiences nightmares. George reluctantly takes him to seek therapy from a counselor, Phillip Nickleson (RICHARD LEWIS - "Cinderella Man," "Anything But Love"). But when the good doctor discovers that the real reason for Max's nightmares is his father's absence, George is forced to confront his feelings about his own childhood.

When George peeks at a 10-year-old unopened letter from Angie, he discovers some secrets that they both may wish were never revealed.

After George makes jokes about his mother's age, Benny takes drastic measures to make herself look younger by getting ridiculously large breast implants. Series star GEORGE LOPEZ makes his directorial debut with this episode.

While giving marriage counseling to a young engaged couple from their church, George and Angie discover that they disagree about who works harder in their own marriage. They set up a point system based on their household tasks and compete for dominance.

George tells a little lie to avoid visiting Angie's family for the holidays but regrets it when he spends Christmas alone.

When Max skips school, George enrolls in college to set a positive example. But George has difficulty getting anyone to take him seriously. Even Professor Lim (recurring guest star MING-NA - "ER") thinks his questions are jokes.

When the going gets tough, George drops out of school. But his attempt to hide his truancy from Angie and the kids becomes the worst kept secret around when Professor Lim (recurring guest star MING-NA) stops by the house to check in.

In this special episode loosely based on series star George Lopez's real-life battle with kidney disease, Max starts wetting the bed, and George laughs it off as childish. But as Max's symptoms worsen, and Vic suggests that it may mean Max is sexually active, George and Angie take Max to Dr. Woodson (KEN HOWARD, himself a real-life kidney transplant recipient). Dr. Woodson breaks the news that Max needs surgery, but that it will help him avoid kidney disease in the future.

George and Angie's former sister-in-law passes away, leaving George in charge of her 20-year-old daughter, Veronica (recurring guest star AIMEE GARCIA - "A Lot Like Love"), and Veronica's very large inheritance. Vic and Angie wonder why George was chosen over them--and when Veronica causes trouble in the Lopez household, George must prove he is worthy of taking care of her.

George tries to teach his niece, whose multimillion-dollar inheritance he controls, a lesson in the value of hard work by putting her to work at the factory. Meanwhile, Angie books her first new-age wedding.

Angie's scam-artist brother, Ray (ANDY GARCIA - "Ocean's Eleven" movies, "The Untouchables," "The Godfather: Part III"), reappears after a long absence and tries to make amends with his estranged daughter, Veronica (recurring guest star AIMEE GARCIA), and the Lopez family. But George is the first to see through Ray's scheme when Ray asks Veronica to tap into her inheritance so he can invest in a new company.

George must help Ernie lose weight before Mel Powers (recurring guest star MARK TYMCHYSHYN) fires him. Eventually, all of his friends get involved in helping Ernie become healthier, but not until they realize the emotional reasons for his overeating can they really make progress.

In a crossover episode with "Freddie," Max begins an innocent online romance with a teenage girl from Chicago named Zoey ("Freddie" series star CHLOE SUAZO). When George finds out, he suspects that Max is unknowingly communicating with an Internet predator. George pretends to be Max online, not realizing that Zoey's uncle Freddie ("Freddie" series star FREDDIE PRINZE, JR.) is worried about the very same thing and has begun impersonating Zoey online. When Freddie and his business partner, Chris ("Freddie" series star BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN), travel to Los Angeles on a business trip, George and Freddie continue the ruse, each hoping to expose the other as a pervert, and they eventually come face to face.

In the 100th episode of the series, George takes over the planning of a wedding for one of Angie's clients, Brooke (EVA LONGORIA - "Desperate Housewives"), in order to prove he can do Angie's job better than she can. But Brooke is so high-maintenance that George almost goes crazy taking care of all the details. When the time for the ceremony finally arrives, he finds out just how volatile a bride can be on her wedding day.

Benny is furious when she discovers that George has rigged the results of a productivity contest at the factory against her. Upset because Angie agrees with Benny, George goes drinking with Ernie. When he eats the worm from a bottle of tequila, George hallucinates and finds out what his life would have been like if Benny were the perfect, doting mother.

In the season finale, everyone in the Lopez family faces a crisis. Ernie tells George that the factory is moving to Mexico, and they'll both be unemployed. When the police want to question Benny about her part in an old robbery, she flees. Nauseated for days, Angie awaits the results of a home pregnancy test. Carmen is afraid to open her final college letter after being rejected by her first three choices. Max has swiped a forbidden beer and is about to sample his first alcohol. And Vic prepares to propose marriage to a younger woman whom he barely knows.

In the season premiere episode, just as George and Angie finish sending their daughter off to college, Angie discovers that the Lopez family could be growing. Meanwhile, George's job is in jeopardy, Benny faces jail time for a crime from her past and Vic contemplates getting engaged to a much younger woman.

Pregnant Angie maintains that George misses their college-age daughter and wants a baby to fill the room that she left empty. Meanwhile, Vic introduces his young and beautiful--but not-too-bright--fiancée, Lindsay (recurring guest star STACY KEIBLER), to the family.

The Lopez home--and George's new media room--suddenly become a bit more crowded when Angie's niece, Veronica, and her freeloading boyfriend, Mike (recurring guest star JASON CONNERY), move in. Meanwhile, George, Angie and the kids host a birthday party for Benny, who is in jail.

When Benny's embittered mother, Luisa Diaz (RITA MORENO), turns against her--along with her defense attorney (recurring guest star ADAM WEST) and Judge Alvarez (recurring guest star JUDGE MARILYN MILIAN)--Benny depends on George's testimony to earn her freedom from jail. Meanwhile, George learns a few surprising things about his past from his grandmother.

Upset over being publicly humiliated at work, George refuses to talk about his feelings with Angie. But after he drinks a shot of tequila with the worm still in it and hallucinates that he and Ernie are gay and about to be married to each other, George realizes that there are some benefits to having a woman who is willing to listen to him.

When Vic and Lindsay (recurring guest star STACY KEIBLER) announce their engagement, George and Angie worry that the much younger woman is only interested in Vic's money. George becomes determined to prove to Vic that Lindsay is cheating on him, but with no money for a private investigator, George's only option is to enlist an exploitative television show that catches cheaters in the act. Meanwhile, Ernie discovers that his poker face isn't as inscrutable as he thought.

When Angie becomes concerned about being less attractive as she gets older, George realizes that gorgeous Veronica is stealing everyone's attention from Angie. Before taking the family to an office costume party, he asks Veronica to tone down her sex appeal. But Angie takes the event as a challenge and wears her own special version of a nurse's outfit. Meanwhile, Benny drives a group of senior citizens as part of her community service.

When Angie's estranged mother dies suddenly, Angie, Vic and Veronica are devastated. But after Angie finds out that George never secured a cemetery plot next to theirs for her mother, her grief turns to anger. Meanwhile, Max feels bad because he never knew his grandmother.

When a sexual predator moves nearby, George and Angie use their membership in the neighborhood watch to take action in different ways. Angie advocates sending a certified letter to the offender and hanging posters around town, but George leads a vigilante crew to the address to threaten the perpetrator. What they find there surprises everyone. Meanwhile, George and Angie realize that it's time to talk to Max about sex.

Much to Benny's dismay, George and Angie hire a maid, Ruth (BARBARA EDEN - "I Dream of Jeannie"), who quickly charms George. But Angie resents the fact that Ruth coddles George instead of cleaning the house, and George also suspects that his mother is jealous of Ruth.

When the love of Benny's life, Wayne Hill (JERRY SPRINGER - "The Jerry Springer Show"), returns to town, George tells a series of tall tales to keep Wayne and Benny from reuniting. Eventually, Benny becomes suspicious--and George must admit the real reason why he wants the two of them apart.

George and Angie make a bet to determine who can live the most frugally, and each goes to extremes to save money. But when Max remarks on the progressively silly contest, George decides to put an end to it.

George tries to relive his high school days vicariously by teaching Max to play the guitar. But when Max moves on without his dad and joins a rock band, George wishes he could take it all back. Series star George Lopez's real-life daughter, MAYAN LOPEZ, guest stars as Jackie. Award-winning film actor ANDY GARCIA ("Oceans Eleven," "The Untouchables) directed the episode.

When Powers Aviation institutes a smoking ban, Benny's nicotine withdrawal symptoms drive George to self-destructive behavior. Trying to be supportive while Benny quits smoking, George stops insulting her for two weeks--but his pent-up aggression causes him to overeat.

The Lopez family goes on a mission to get even with a new neighbor who has decorated his front lawn with an offensive art display. Meanwhile, George and Angie run into an old friend, Officer Sanchez (MARIO LÓPEZ - "Nip/Tuck," "Saved by the Bell"), who takes an interest in their niece.

George always feels lonely on Father's Day since he never knew his father. So when his father-in-law, Vic, asks him to play in a father-son golf game against Vic's biggest rivals, Dr. Anthony Tovar (ELOY CASADOS) and his son, Tony (boxer OSCAR DE LA HOYA), George is touched. But during the game, George learns the real reason why Vic invited him. Meanwhile, not only does Max give George a form letter as a Father's Day gift, it's the same form letter Max gave Angie on Mother's Day.

When Max takes apart George and Angie's computer and can't figure out how to reassemble it, George makes him earn the money to buy a new one by working for a week at the factory. But neither George nor Angie is prepared for Max to actually enjoy himself. He likes work much better than school and vows to get a job at the factory as soon as he graduates high school. At first, George is proud, but he soon has a vision of the future that convinces him that Max should go to college and try to do better than his parents.

A multimillionaire, Enrique Vega (EDWARD JAMES OLMOS - "Battlestar Galactica"), buys Powers Aviation and asks George to remain with the company--if he's willing to make some major life changes. Meanwhile, Benny's long-lost love, Wayne (JERRY SPRINGER), finally gives Benny a chance to live happily ever after.
