BEN AND KATE

Focusing on the lives of a brother and sister who are exact opposites. Ben is an over-the-top dreamer, while younger sister Kate is a single mother trying to make ends meet as a bar manager. In the first episode, Ben sets out to crash his ex-girlfriend's wedding while Kate has a disastrous first date.

Ben is an over-the-top dreamer, while younger sister Kate is a single mother trying to make ends meet as a bar manager. In the second episode, Kate is caught out lying to get daughter Maddie into a better school, while Ben's relaxed attitude to discipline causes Kate concern.

Kate tries to take Ben down a peg or two by challenging him to a scavenger hunt like the one they used to play with their grandfather.

Ben creates an emergency situation to prove to Kate that it is okay to not be prepared for everything. Meanwhile, Ben's weird girlfriend Louise keeps showing up unexpectedly, and Kate convinces BJ not to sleep with their boss.

Ben throws Kate the 21st birthday party she never had - on her 26th birthday, Kate reconnects with old friend Molly, upsetting BJ, meanwhile, Ben is dealt another blow as his ex Darcy moves on quickly with her husband.

Kate and BJ are invited to a handsome neighbour's Halloween party, so BJ tries to teach Kate how to be more sexy and appealing. Meanwhile, Ben and Tommy decide to stay home to give out candy, hoping to meet some hot moms in the process.
