As Kobayashi leaves for work, she comes face to face with the dragon Tohru, who transforms into a beautiful girl with horns and a tail. It seems while drunk the previous night, Kobayashi agreed to let Tohru serve as her live-in maid.
Kobayashi and Tohru go shopping. Tohru claims that she's only pretending to be nice to people, and still doesn't understand human emotions.
While the livelier residence is nice, sharing a tiny apartment with three people becomes cramped, so Miss Kobayashi decides to move. She winds up inviting Takiya to her new apartment for a party, but Tohru also invites her dragon friends.
Kobayashi and Tohru make arrangements for Kanna to attend elementary school, and the group heads out to buy school supplies.
As she gets accustomed to her maid duties, Tohru sneaks into Miss Kobayashi's office to investigate how she gets her work done.
Riko invites Kanna, Tohru and Kobayashi over to her house to meet her sister. Meanwhile, Fafnie is adjusting to living with Makoto.
