The Affair

Tired of New York City, Noah Solloway escapes with his family to his in-laws estate on Long Island. Meanwhile, waitress Alison Lockhart and her husband, struggle to move on from a family tragedy. By chance, Alison and Noah meet for the first time.

The Butler estate readies for the annual summer party and Noah finds himself drawn to Alison's allure. As their lives continue to interweave with each other's, the pair is forced to consider the inevitable.

Noah's attraction to Alison intensifies when he asks her to help him research local culture and tour Montauk together; Helen deals with business in Brooklyn; Cole takes a stand for his community.

Wanting to spend some time apart from their families, Noah and Alison decide to take a day trip to remote Block Island. As the two grow closer, they begin to realise their intimacy could become dangerous.

Behind closed doors, Alison and Noah's passion for each other increases. At home however, they are forced to confront new challenges. Noah feels conflicted with Whitney's recent behaviour and Alison's estranged mother comes for a visit.

Noah discovers there is more to Alison than he believed and Helen hopes to make the most their family time in Montauk. Meanwhile, Alison and Cole try to keep the Lockhart's from danger.
