Seven unlikely outlaws from vastly different walks of life begin their community payback sentences, cleaning up and renovating a derelict building. But the real punishment appears to be having to put up with each other.

In flashback we see which crimes and misdemeanours landed Greg and Gabby in Community Payback, while in the present day, Gabby wrestles with her demons. Harmony is punctured when three of the group discover a bag of cash in the community centre’s ceiling.

Myrna questions what to do with her life when the organisation she founded, the Bristol Justice Collective, seemingly rejects her.

As circumstances around the drug house robbery become clearer, Detectives Haines and Selforth find an eager new partner in Diane. Christian has a close call, and Esme takes life-changing action.

Rani tries to get her fellow outlaws onside as she plans an audacious break-in. Danger closes in on Christian and Esme from all sides, and a revelatory discovery changes everything the outlaws thought they knew about each other.

Gabby and Myrna join with others on a rescue mission, and Diane helps the group the only way she knows how — inadvertently. Ultimately cornered, the outlaws are faced with a choice — die as individuals, or survive as a group?
