About this movie

Rookie police officer Jessica Loren [Juliana Harkavy - “The Walking Dead”] has been assigned the last shift at a closing police station and must wait for a hazmat crew collecting biomedical evidence. Ordered not to leave the station under any circumstance, Jessica comes to learn that it’s more than just an outdated station, it’s home to the ultimate embodiment of evil and his devoted followers. Cult leader Paymon has haunted the station ever since he and two of his followers committed suicide on the night of their arrest. Jessica is left to fend for herself in the devil’s playground.

"The Last Shift" is a true masterpiece in the horror genre -- and as such, it's probably one of my favorites. Unlike other movies, this doesn't rely on lame special effects or a unique soundtrack to cover up the fact that the plot isn't well thought out. This film has a genuinely creepy vibe to it, tells a pretty good story, and has really good cinematography. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Bravo to the filmmakers; the team did a fantastic job. I want more!

If you can tolerate some plodding acting and dialog at the start, it develops into a pretty well executed demonic ghost story...think "Assault on Precinct 13" with "13 Ghosts".

Whoever compared this to 'Let Us Prey' and said this wasn't as good is WRONG. This was a hundred times better. Pacing is great, had some jump scenes, and it creeped me out. 'Let of Prey' was pretty slow, wasn't scary, no suspense, had unnecessary sex scenes, and was confusing. Def watch this one if you are choosing between the two.
