About this movie

While helping a handful of plane crash survivors cope with their grief, young psychologist Claire Summers (2008 Best Actress, Oscar® nominee Anne Hathaway, Rachel Getting Married) begins to uncover conflicting accounts of the accident. At first, Claire believes that trauma is behind her patients' wildly different stories - until the survivors mysteriously begin disappearing one by one. Now Eric (Patrick Wilson, Lakeview Terrace), a surviving passenger she has grown dangerously close to, may hold the key to unlocking the truth about the tragic incident in this shocking psychological thriller. © 2008 Passengers Productions, LLC. I thought Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson were very good. The movie itself has the feeling of something one dreamed. Credit the director. The "crazy dream" plot stuck with me more than I would have thought. I look at it as a positive quality here rather than a negative one like some of the reviewers who talk about the plot not going anywhere. I guess it's an individual thing.

I found this movie to be slow and boring. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen, but no can do. It's an OK movie if you like an hour and a half of people talking to each other without really saying anything useful, and everything they do say is very brief, cryptic and lacks any useful information.

A film about the possibility of surviving a tragedy without understanding why, and the realization you may have come away with special powers no one can explain.
